Domestic violence affects all religious, cultural and ethnic background from around the world. Survivors often return to abusive relationship because they feel that they can’t support themselves and their children. For a number of reasons women and men stay in an abusive relationship, one of the major reason is fear.
Over 75% of women are killed by their abusers when they try to leave or have left an abusive relationship. For the victims It may seem a safer option to stay in the abusive relationship than facing a life of grinding poverty and fear that’s why we are here to try help and make a change.

Physical abuse: This type of abuse happens in so many different ways such as, hitting, kicking, punching, slapping, pulling hair & strangling. Strangulation is the number one cause of partner homicide.
Mental abuse: Also referred to as emotional abuse & psychological abuse in many cases neither the victim or the abuser are fully aware that its happening. The abuse quite often occurs for various reasons such as the abuser has insecurities or childhood wounds they haven’t dealt with. A victim in a long term abusive relationship can develop severe emotional trauma which includes post-traumatic stress disorder & depression.
The most important thing is for the victims to know they have our full support. The women are our mothers, the men are our fathers and the children are our future!
